We are fortunate at Graig Farm to be situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.

The farm and its surrounding area changes dramatically through the seasons, always offering something to appeal to the eye or to fascinate.

THIS MONTH - August

Radnor Forest towards Graig Farm - August

August should be the best month for grass growth, andfor grazing animals such as sheep and cattle, this is the time of yer when they gro west. There are still many other jobs to be done about the farm, including silage making, and parasite control in the animals. Organic farming does not allow routine use of any chemical controls, so in the case of internal parasites, many organic farmers monitor the parasite levels by looking at the levels of parasite eggs in the animal dung - a lovely job especially on a hot day!

Otherwsise the countryside is at its peak of green and looking at its lushest.
